Duties/Responsibilities

• Insulating various sizes of aluminum conductors to the proper specifications as required
• Maintaining top-quality workmanship during the insulation process using various types of wrapping machines.
• An excellent safety and quality-conscious approach while performing work duties.
• Able to work in a team environment.
• Excellent attendance, as this is a very responsible position where reliability is essential in keeping the department properly supplied.
• Good ability to verbally communicate read and write fluently in English in order to follow verbal instructions and written documentation related to the position and the workplace, as well as complete any required paperwork.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Able to read a micrometer.
• Apply knowledge of cold-welding and brazing techniques, conductor types and sizes, and tolerances and dimensions of material as per Material Specification Guidelines
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Must be able to safely handle weights up to 50 lbs.
• Must be safety conscious
• Some knowledge of aluminum conductors and Mylar insulation would be an asset but is not essential.
