Job Profile

The company is seeking a Yard Hand (welding) to join its team.

Education Level

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

Work Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in construction, tool repair, or general labor environment.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Maintain proper documentation and record keeping as it pertains to incoming tools/materials and tools/materials that are ready to be used by the field.
• Operate shop tools to include but not limited to a cable winder.
• Process and repair broken or damaged tools such as electrical cords, welding lead, air hoses, hammers, ladders, and other small hand tools.
• Pull orders created by the field and prepare the orders for shipping
• Utilize a forklift to load and unload trucks with tools and materials.
• Utilize forklift to stage materials and tools for future use.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Equipment Used-

• Must use forklift and various hand and power tools.

Physical Demands

• Work is mainly done outdoors without climate control.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. repetitively throughout 8-10-hour days.
• Most of the workday will be spent standing and or walking.
