Job Profile

The company is searching for a Quality Inspector A who will ensure that all manufacturing and inspection activities are performed in compliance with process work documents and applicable code(s).

Performs in-process or final inspections as determined by Engineering to ensure compliance with all requirements.

Maintains records, verifies the effective implementation of the Quality Program, and acts as a quality representative during internal, customer, and regulatory audits.

Educational Qualification

Work Experience

  • Possess 2 to 4 years of experience
  • Prior experience with engineering drawings that include welding, welding symbols

Must have 9 levels of qualification, to include Mechanical Inspection, Weld Surveillance, Liquid Penetrant II and Magnetic Particle II and the ability to maintain qualifications as required by the qualification criteria. If not able to attain and maintain Weld Surveillance, Liquid Penetrant II and Magnetic Particle II, inspector will have the opportunity of attaining a substitute qualification selected by the Company.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Document and update inspection results by creating/completing required reports or logs
  • Formally investigates and validates or rejects the inspected parts in compliance with engineering specifications.
  • Insures that in-process inspections are completed per engineering specifications during the production process.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations
  • Maintains and verifies all calibrated measurement equipment to meet requirements and notify appropriate personnel of needed repairs.
  • Performs incoming inspections for all raw materials/components/castings received by confirming specifications through visual and mechanical inspections.
  • Performs mechanical, visual, and dimensional inspections of parts.
  • Performs non-destructive testing, including ultrasonic, dye penetrant, radiographic, visual, and magnetic particle.
  • Scraps inspected parts per engineering instructions/documentation and in compliance with applicable procedures.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
  • Ability to read and understand shop drawings, sketches, etc.
  • Basic computer skills
  • The capability of certification in any qualification
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally
  • Must be able to speak, read and write in English
  • Must have the ability to work independently and complete tasks with minimal direction
  • Organizational and time management skills
