The company (Autosystems America) is seeking an Automation Technician to join its team.

Educational Qualification

• Applicants should have completed Secondary School

Work Experience

• Possess a minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience
• Minimum 2 years of robotic automation experience
• Electrical controls experience
• Fanuc Robot Programming
• Mechanical Experience (preferred)
• Troubleshooting/Programming PLC and HMI’s

Duties/Responsibilities

• Assist Engineering Group to modify baseline programs if necessary.
• Assist Engineering Group with trials and improvement opportunities.
• Complete understanding of all change-over activity within assigned cells including tooling, welders, adhesives, etc.
• Ensure all processes are running to baseline and that any changes are properly evaluated and documented with the appropriate change form.
• Exploring and implementing new ways to automate assembly operations.
• Help to create and establish baselines for new and existing equipment.
• Help with purchasing spare parts for assembly equipment.
• Interact with the Quality Group, as necessary, to understand the acceptable level of part quality.
• Planning projects to help optimize all assembly equipment.
• Support Continuous Improvement by suggesting longer-term processing solutions that will reduce costs by way of improved scrap rates and optimized efficiency.
• Troubleshooting and programming of all automation equipment.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to communicate technically with various departments
• Ability to learn and comprehend computer language
• Ability to learn the fundamentals of process control and understand the importance of consistent application
• Aptitude for mechanical and electrical equipment
• Logic and HMI software programming
• Proficient in basic computer programs
• Proven track record of performance and attendance in current role
• Self-motivated, ability to take initiative and follow through to job completion
• Strength and ability to troubleshoot and solve problems
• Strong knowledge of industrial processes and machinery
• Work flexible hours
