Job Profile

The company is seeking a Welder who will inspect and repair welds (as needed) to ensure quality parts, on time, the first time to meet or exceed our customer requirements, while supporting the Magna Employee’s Charter and the policies and procedures of BGM.

Educational Qualification

• No education level is mentioned, yet having a High School Diploma will be a plus

Work Experience

• Possess a minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Follow Standard Operating Procedures established for each workstation.
• Maintain the integrity of quality to ensure the finished product meets BGM standards, including the changing of weld tips, wire spools, and cleaning of nozzles to ensure the efficiency of weld robots.
• Maintain proper documentation of production.
• Maintain proper documentation of scrap and reworked products.
• Perform minor repairs/adjustments to Mig welders.
• Responsible for visual inspection (repairs if needed) of all welds and welding quality.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Must be able to detect and repair (within cycle times) all weld defects within your zone
• Must be able to pass and maintain welding proficiency
• Operate standard office equipment (preferred)
• Understanding of weld terminology
