Job Profile
The company is looking to hire an Advanced Quality Planning Manager who will be responsible to work with various Cosma divisions on critical launches and to work with cross-functional teams (product engineering, divisional project teams, SMEs), as a facilitator, in the development of PFMEA documents.
Also, responsible to analyze Cosma processes to identify the potential risk to product quality, and drive process improvements.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Statistics, or Mathematics
Work Experience
- Possess a minimum 7 years of work-related experience in an automotive environment
Duties/Responsibilities
- Adhere to Magna’s core values of integrity, respect, trust, honesty, fairness, and loyalty.
- Audit the Safe Launch activities at selected plants
- Communicate globally the core baseline PFMEA
- Facilitate meetings with cross-functional teams to develop, maintain, and update baseline PFMEAs for the main core Cosma processes
- Follow and comply with all Operational Procedures and Policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook, Quality and Environmental programs (i.e., IATF 16949, ISO14001)
- Follow-up with divisions to ensure that proper product/process controls are in place based on risk analysis
- Follow-up with divisions to make sure that Cosma initiatives are integrated into new or existing processes
- Know and understand process documentation and customer-specific requirements as they relate to the job function.
- Lead divisional reviews of the PFMEA and the Control Plans
- Lead teams without direct reporting relationships
- Manage multiple projects among global and regional teams
- Monitors progress on program launches for the programs identified as critical
- Participate in professional development to enhance team performance when requested
- Participate in Spill Detection events at plants
- Participates in CPMP (Cosma APQP process) gate reviews for the programs identified as critical
- Support and facilitate the resolution of the user, system, and data issues on working with the FMEA software solution
- Support the global team in their request for data and data interpretation
- Understand, promote, and live by Magna’s philosophies and Employee Charter.
- Work with selected divisions on developing their PFMEA
- Perform other duties as required

- In-depth knowledge of AIAG core tools
- In-depth knowledge of PFMEA (AIAG/VDA)
- The intense attention to detail with considerable analytical work
- Must be proficient in computer use, programs like EXCEL, Minitab, and PowerBI including Statistical Techniques and methodologies
- Working knowledge of welding, stamping, and assembly
