Job Profile

The company is recruiting a Welding Safety Solutions Manager who will be responsible for providing welding safety expertise through a technical understanding of welding and safety equipment, processes, and related hazards to defend and grow the business with strategic end-user accounts.

Act as a consultant to the field sales team by providing the technical expertise necessary to win business as part of the account planning process.

Will deliver results via the presentation of ITW safety solutions that deliver customer value.

Close collaboration with all ITW Welding sales personnel to identify and support large end-user conversion opportunities and defend key accounts is expected.

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field (college/university)

Work Experience

  • Possess a minimum 3 years of respiratory and safety sales experience

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Ability to effectively manage an assigned territory by exhibiting an 80/20 decision-making process.
  • Achieve revenue objectives on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Develop and execute data-driven sales strategies to drive profitable sales growth in the region in support of the division’s Long Range and Annual Plans. This includes prospecting, target account ownership, and working through other key sales partners to execute the overall strategy.
  • Display an enterprise mindset through collaborative account planning with ITW Welding Sales and divisional teams to convert/earn end-user business.
  • Effectively present product demos for customers and distributors.
  • Lead customer-centered discussions at each stage of the ITW Key Account Sales Process.
  • Maintain consistent communications of key activities with ITW sales leaders, regional team, distributor partners, key end users, and the division.
  • Maintains CRM tracking of opportunities and end-user account information
  • Monitor competitive activity and trends in the region.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert driving welding safety enhancements for ITW customers and apply process, product, and technical expertise to convert safety sales opportunities.
  • Utilize a consultative, value-based, and solutions-focused sales methodology to drive new revenue opportunities.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to travel overnight at least 50%
  • Excellent business planning skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent oral/written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent sales/negotiation, customer service, and listening skills
  • Excellent teamwork, time management, organizational, follow-up, and planning skills
  • Must be a self-starter, aggressive, a good team player, and possess the ability to make independent decisions and follow through to completion
  • Must possess technical aptitude and manufacturing process knowledge
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and CRM systems
