Job Profile
The company is looking to hire a Maintenance Technician who will perform routine and specialized mechanical duties in the repair and maintenance of automated and computerized equipment, pneumatic tools, and conveyor systems to ensure quality expectations.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and perform repairs to equipment.
Provide technical training to lower-level personnel.
Monitor daily operations in absence of a supervisor.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 2 or 4-year degree in Electronics or Automated Machine Repair with 1-year experience in the automotive industry (preferred)

- Possess a combination of education and work experience
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assist the lean department with lean initiatives and projects.
- Checks operating controls and safety stops on the conveyor. Checks power and hand tools for correct operation, and reports any unsafe working conditions.
- Demonstrates attention to detail; looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Monitors own work to ensure quality.
- Follow a predetermined schedule of preventive maintenance.
- Maintain Plant upkeep and repair as needed.
- Maintains a clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.
- Observes safety and security procedures; report potentially unsafe conditions; use equipment and materials properly.
- Perform maintenance duties in areas of, but not limited to, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, and electronics.
- Perform welding, material handling and storage, plumbing, and pipefitting as needed.
- Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the line supervisor or quality engineer immediately.
Other Duties-
- Serve on teams or committees as needed
- Performs any other duties as assigned
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to think outside the box and to develop unique and timely solutions to equipment problems.
- Availability for emergency service, as well as working weekends and other plant downtimes as necessary including holidays.
- Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with people. Above average analytical skills and strong problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and deal with stressful situations.
- Positive team spirit and displays a great attitude; team facilitation skills.
- Strong understanding of products and production processes and knowledge of quality control standards and systems.

- Earplugs and gloves (recommended)
- NFPA70e protective clothing (required)
- Use of safety glasses (required)
Physical Demands
- Must have the ability to stand for extended periods of time; stoop, kneel, bend, twist, reach, push, pull, grasp, and pinch on a continual basis; and work with oils and lubricants.
- Frequently required to use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Hearing and vision within normal ranges are essential for normal conversations and receive ordinary information.
- May be subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
- Regularly lift or move up to 10-20 pounds, frequently lift or move up to 20-50 pounds, and occasionally lift or move up to 70 pounds.
