Job Profile

The company is looking for a Welder who will be responsible for welding equipment components, eye bores, rods and barrels, heads, and pistons.

Note: This a casual hours welding position.

Educational Qualification

• Applicants should have a Welding Technician Certification (Certified with Canadian Welders Bureau)

Work Experience

• Possess 2 to 3 years of work experience
• Forklift Operator and Crane/Rigging (additional certifications)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Brazing seal lands in heads and on pistons
• Cleans and performs minor repairs on welding equipment
• Comply with the Health and Safety program and practices
• Comply with Wajax policies and procedures
• Fabricating shipping crates for hydraulic cylinders
• Maintain all required certifications
• Meet requirements of Job Hazard assessments
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment (Bore welder)
• Participate in all required Health and Safety Training
• Performance of daily duties in a manner conducive to a safe workplace
• Read and understand production drawings, blueprints, work orders, and other written instructions
• Work with alloy steels (4140/4340)

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Mechanically inclined
• Ability to fabricate without drawings
• Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office
