Job Profile
The company is looking for a Welder who will be responsible for welding equipment components, eye bores, rods and barrels, heads, and pistons.
Note: This a casual hours welding position.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants should have a Welding Technician Certification (Certified with Canadian Welders Bureau)
Work Experience
- Possess 2 to 3 years of work experience
- Forklift Operator and Crane/Rigging (additional certifications)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Brazing seal lands in heads and on pistons
- Cleans and performs minor repairs on welding equipment
- Comply with the Health and Safety program and practices
- Comply with Wajax policies and procedures
- Fabricating shipping crates for hydraulic cylinders
- Maintain all required certifications
- Meet requirements of Job Hazard assessments
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment (Bore welder)
- Participate in all required Health and Safety Training
- Performance of daily duties in a manner conducive to a safe workplace
- Read and understand production drawings, blueprints, work orders, and other written instructions
- Work with alloy steels (4140/4340)
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Mechanically inclined
- Ability to fabricate without drawings
- Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office
