Job Profile

The company is seeking an Order Engineering Manager who will manage the various engineering processes and ensures the provision of timely and effective mechanical design services, to fulfil customer orders across both day-to-day business and project orders.

Responsible for overseeing and ensuring safe and effective engineered valve and actuation solutions for plant and customers.

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a college/university
  • Post Graduate study (a plus) or equivalent years of experience

Work Experience

  • Possess 3 to 5 years of professional management experience in broad engineering mechanical design with Operational experience

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Coordinating and collaborating between functional groups including; Product Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Master Data, and Finance
  • Delivering accurate Material Number creation and Bills of Materials to enable order fulfilment across multiple product families as required by the customer order in a timely manner
  • Leading the team to work with design scope applicable to the site/product group as defined by the Strategic Business Units (SBUs)
  • Managing the work program of a skilled engineering team, placing particular emphasis on Emerson’s core values of Integrity, Collaboration, Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement, Innovation, Customer Focus, and Supporting Our People.
  • Managing the workload across teams as applicable to enable the delivery of information required to manufacture, whilst also giving the team balance and interest within the defined engineering framework of various products.
  • Supporting Warranty Claims between Product Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • The ability for conceptual thinking and high problem identification and problem resolution, demonstrated ability to make sound judgement and decisions to drive product and customer service excellence.
  • Ability to effectively lead the team, maximize retention, and develop a strong high performing engineering team, holding them to account for results.
  • Ability to work with and manage technical and non-technical associates, customers, and suppliers to influence, and negotiate to achieve high-performance results according to the customer and engineered specifications.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of system requirements (ISO, etc.) and implementation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Valve/Controls industry-related engineering requirements, such as customer engineering specifications.
  • Demonstrated management/engineering skills, with the ability to multitask and priorities.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer desirable.
  • Proven innovation and success in driving programs and projects from product design recommendations to successful implementation, while working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong background in computer-aided design.
  • Strong knowledge of industry engineering standards and techniques as well as other material and welding standards, fluid flow, and quality systems.
  • Superb written and verbal communication to train, communicate, present, and deliver complex or technical information in a clear, concise, and easy-to-understand manner.
