Job Profile

The company is seeking a Brazer Trainer, using the Trane Braze Excellence Program, who will train, certify/recertify associates as brazers and welders.

The trainer must be certified by the Braze NoE through the Train the Trainer Program.

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants must be a Certified Brazer (AME WI 2002 – 03) in all the braze qualifications for the plant

Work Experience

  • Possess 3 to 5 years minimum production brazing and welding experience
  • HVAC systems experience and understanding, or EPA 208 trained (preferred)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Aid in the development of control plans as they pertain to braze and weld activities
  • Aid Quality Engineers or work individually to resolve to braze and weld quality issues from problem definition through implementation
  • Assist in establishing and driving compliance with policies and procedures applicable to brazing and weld operations
  • Collect and analyze data for the purpose of eliminating braze and weld quality issues to improve internal processes and customer satisfaction
  • Continually update training and certification material to remain current with “Best Practices”
  • Develop and implement braze and weld audit procedures for all operations
  • Facilitate the establishment and implementation of the Trane Braze Center of Excellence Training and Certification Program
  • Flexible to cover all shifts if needed.
  • Plan, organize, and control all braze and weld training and certification activities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact regarding braze and weld operations
  • Serve as the primary trainer and SME for all production personnel

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to attend formalized training and certification classes as required
  • Conduct and track all training, certification, and recertification activities
  • Conduct daily braze and weld audits
  • Flexibility to work different shifts as required for training and certification purposes
  • Make recommendations for operator certification or de-certification
  • Thorough understanding of brazing alloys and usage criteria
  • Training center layout and set-up
  • Understanding of braze and weld technique and certification standards
