Job Profile

The company is seeking a Welder/Fabricator who will be responsible for preparing, welding, and finishing projects according to drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction.

Fabricate and rebuild parts for use with equipment and machinery in accordance with the prevention or to minimize downtime.

Educational Qualification

• Applicants should have a High School Diploma (required)
• Technical training in welding (preferred)

Work Experience

• Possess 3 years of MIG and TIG welding experience

Duties/Responsibilities

• Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, work orders, and material safety data sheets to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations
• Detect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notify supervisors.
• Examine work pieces for defects, and measure work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Operate hi-lo to move large steel objects when necessary.
• Operate welding equipment to fuse metal segments, using processes such as gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, flux-cored arc, plasma arc, shielded metal arc, resistance welding, and submerged arc welding.
• Troubleshoot and provide necessary repairs.
• Train other persons on the skills above.
