The company is searching for a Quality Control Manager to join its team.

Educational Qualification

• Applicants should have a Bachelor’s or Associate Degree preferably in a suitable field (college/university)

Work Experience

• Must have 5 plus years of experience in inspection
• Must have direct experience working in an ISO 9001 environment for Shipbuilding and or steel construction.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Must perform a wide variety of tasks in support of the Company’s Quality Management goals and standards.
• Must comply with all Federal and State environmental, safety, and health regulations, standards, procedures, and guidelines, and comply with all company-issued policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Must also have an excellent work ethic including excellent attendance, punctuality, and the desire to lead the department to complete designated work in a timely fashion.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• A good understanding of measuring devices (tape, rule, weld gauge, optical tooling)
• Ability to follow instructions given by management.
• Ability to set up inspection callouts with ABS, Coast Guard, and owner Rep.
• Computer literate.
• General knowledge of NDT theory and practical application (MT, PT, VT).
• Good communication skills and ability to operate in stressful situations while maintaining a professional attitude.
• Good communication with ABS, Coast Guard, and Owner Rep.
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to perform job duties working with management to achieve set goals.
• Must have a strong background in blueprint reading and the ability to communicate theory.
• Must have a strong background in welding, procedures, and document control.
• Must have knowledge of ABS and Coast Guard Rules and Regulations
• Must possess strong decision-making abilities as well as the ability to communicate decisions in a clear and concise manner.
• Must possess strong math skills.
