Job Profile

The company is searching for a CNC Machinist who will be responsible for performing measuring operations that are within the scope of operations for all equipment.

Educational Qualification

• Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED
• Bachelor’s Degree (a plus)

Work Experience

• Possess a combination of training and strong machining experience

Duties/Responsibilities

• Review project assignments/instructions from Team Leader
• Review drawings and machining requirements for the job
• Obtain an understanding of the task and develop an action plan
• Set up the machine and other required equipment
• Supervise machines and make any adjustments to produce better results
• Ensure work meets quality standards
• Assist Machinist 2 to improve his/her knowledge and skill levels
• Consistently look for ways to eliminate waste and improve processes
• Practice safety in all aspects of the job
• Look for safety issues with equipment and processes
• Participate in safety improvement programs
• Participate in tier meetings

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• A strong mechanical aptitude
• Great organizational skills
• Read and understand Robinson’s detailed drawings, blueprints, machining procedures, and shop travelers
