Job Profile
The company is recruiting a Restoration Technician who will support operations in the implementation and adherence to a TPM Program with a primary focus on the PdM technologies, Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action investigations, and equipment upgrades, modifications, or replacement(s).
Educational Qualification
- Applicants must have a minimum of a 2-year Technical Degree (college/university) plus 7 years of Maintenance Leadership experience or 10 years of experience as a Maintenance Team Leader.
Work Experience
- Possess mechanical maintenance experience (additional Electrical Experience is a plus)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Demonstrate and maintain proficiency in the utilization of company computer systems to find, create, and close work orders, determine part inventory and availability, assign parts to required work orders, add hours to work orders, complete time card entries, etc.
- Leads or coaches the root cause analysis of leading equipment or process failures to support continuous improvement and reduction of downtime/cost drivers. Supports lessons learned approach to drive improvements across the facility.
- Maintains the work order systems, as necessary and in regards to assigned projects, to ensure accurate work history, parts usage, and resource allocation to support a permanent record of equipment history.
- May be required to troubleshoot and repair various process equipment including rolling mills, grinding mills, kilns, conveyors, elevators, blowers, pumps, seals, valves, piping systems, fans, gear reducers, sprockets, chains, belts, bearings, screening systems, ductwork, motors, starters, wiring systems, thermal pneumatic and electronic instruments, thermocouples, circuit breakers, overloads, fuses, start-stop stations, etc.
- Perform proficiently in skilled tasks such as welding, brazing, rigging, fabrication, alignment, belt tensioning, and use of standard Maintenance Tools and Predictive Maintenance tools such as Vibration Analysis, UE Lubrication, UE Leak Detection, etc.
- Perform review of preventive maintenance (PM) inspections and corrective actions identified for repair. Makes recommendations, initiates, and supports the optimization of preventive maintenance programs whether through frequency adjustments or strategy changes to improve reliability and maintenance efficiency.
- Performs review of Predictive Maintenance Inspections including Vibration Analysis, Infrared Thermography, Motor Current, and other potential selected to support asset management. Makes recommendations, initiates, and supports planned corrective actions based on PdM results to drive improved reliability and operational performance.
- Provide leadership or support for planned special projects, Outage support, PM/PdM activities, or emergency maintenance repair to minimize production downtime and maximize production efficiency.
- Supervises outside contract labor as required, including the scope of work planning, quotations, and possible project management.
- Tracks and reports information in various functional trackers for Quality, EHS, OE, Maintenance, etc. such as Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and other relevant documents. Utilizes programs that include, but are not limited to, SharePoint, Excel, Word, Oracle, Office365 (Outlook, Skype, etc.), VelocityEHS, ZenQMS, etc.
- Works in a safe manner and maintains a clean work area, adhering to Company safety policies/procedures/practices and local regulatory requirements.
- In addition to the above-described duties, as part of a small team and on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of management, the Restoration Technician may be requested to perform operation-related duties to assist the plant team.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Knowledge of basic computer systems, including Windows and Microsoft Office (required)
- Ability to travel (preferred)
