Job Profile
The company is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join its team for the manufacturing plant.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED
- Successful completion of graduation from the Texas Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education (FAME) Advanced Manufacturing Technician (AMT) program
- Associates Degree or certificate in industrial maintenance (desired)
Work Experience
- Possess at least 3 years of experience in a maintenance-related field
- At least 5 years of manufacturing maintenance experience servicing production-related equipment
- At least 7 years of manufacturing maintenance experience servicing production-related equipment
Duties/Responsibilities
- Analyze and Troubleshoot malfunctions of equipment related to components, diagnosing and correcting the problems quickly
- Booth and Oven Air Balancing
- Calibration of equipment (Fluid, Air, and Fan)
- Conveyor and Reader knowledge
- Gun rebuilding (touch-up guns, Paint guns, and BELLS)
- Maintenance and repair of equipment
- Perform corrective and preventative work on all plant equipment
- Read and interpret drawings and Electrical schematics
- Understand and troubleshoot Safety and intrusion alarms inside Paint booths
- Demonstrate overall safe work behavior; including the utilization of proper safety equipment and adhering to safety guidelines.
- Receive and manage time-sensitive work order assignments
- Read hydraulic and pneumatic blueprints and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Troubleshoot and repair production and non-production machines and equipment.
- Repair materials handling equipment as required
- Troubleshoot and repair motor control and drive systems, various robotics systems, machine network systems, tooling systems, industrial control systems, and various forms of industrial automation
- Observe/troubleshoot needed repairs of all types of manufacturing machines and equipment including paint automation equipment.
- Troubleshoot problems and offer solutions on all industrial systems.
- Perform metal fabrication, welding, and heavy equipment repair
- Must be willing to work any shift
- All other duties as assigned
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to demonstrate overall safe work behavior; including the utilization of proper safety equipment and adherence to safety guidelines
- Ability to self-manage work priorities
- Ability to specify the needed parts for equipment or process failures
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and offer solutions on type of manufacturing machines and equipment
- Ability to work efficiently and with a sense of urgency
- Basic knowledge and understanding of industrial electrical systems with the ability to use a Volt/Ohm Meter
- Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components
- Basic knowledge of hand tools, ability to disassemble and reassemble using proper equipment
- Basic knowledge of industrial safety requirements related to hazardous, flammable, and explosive materials and environments
- Computer proficiency with MS Office, MES
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLC), metal fabrication equipment, welding equipment, heavy equipment, painting robotics, and ethernet IP network systems
- Knowledge of INFOR and MTTR
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance
- Must have organization skills, and effective communication skills with both technical and professional staff
- Possess a working knowledge of 480 volts, 277 volts, 240 volts, 208 volts, and 120/24 volt systems with the ability to implement these voltages, including routing of all conduit and wires installing breaker panels, disconnects, transformers, lighting, etc., and performing terminations without supervision

- Ability to troubleshoot problems and offer solutions on all industrial systems
- Ability to work any shift
- Applicants must have the ability to read, speak and write English at a level that allows them to understand and communicate standard work instructions, job safety requirements, and quality documentation in English
- Be subject to the mandatory overtime rotation schedule
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance
- Must be an active participant in the site Emergency Response Team
- Must have the flexibility to work a rotating weekly on-call schedule
