Job Profile
The company is seeking a CNC Programmer who will develop and support NC programs for CNC metal processing equipment generated from customer specifications.

Educational Qualification
- Applicants may require a High School Diploma
Work Experience
- Possess 5+ years of manufacturing process experience, including a minimum of 2 years in NC programming OR
- Comparable education and a demonstrated knowledge of drafting standards or relevant technical knowledge.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Work from detail drawings, 2D geometry files, 3D models, sketches, templates, and notes to generate quality NC programs for CNC metal processing equipment using various CAD/CAM software.
- Support the Programming Department through the following-
-Proof and troubleshoot NC Programs created by colleagues to ensure trouble-free operation
-Assist in the investigation of, and solution to, technical problems involving NC programs and machine operation
-Review and verify existing programs for compliance with customer specifications and machine capabilities
-Assist Operators with the qualification and validation of machine parameters
-Recommend and assist in implementing improvements to efficiency and throughput
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- A thorough understanding of manufacturing methods, capabilities, procedures, and standards.
- Ability to use elementary math, trigonometry, and geometry.
- Able to work from written instructions, detailed engineering drawings, and 2D and 3D models.
- Able to work independently as a problem solver with excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to finish projects promptly.
- Be team-oriented and results-driven, with the ability to work within a team of diverse individuals.
- Demonstrate motivation, initiative, and a high level of attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Proficiency with 3D modeling, SolidWorks preferred
- Proficiency with CAD and CAM software, SigmaNest preferred
- Proficiency with flat pattern development methods and terminology
- Understanding of and ability to edit ‘G’ and ‘M’ Code language as used in plate and sheet processing
