Job Profile
The company is searching for an Electromechanical Technician II who will perform accomplished technical work in the areas of installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment.
Education Level
- Completion of 5 or more Electromechanical Technology Degree classes
Work Experience
- Experience maintaining industrial equipment.
- Experience using industrial lifting equipment, cranes, or hoists.
- Experience using at least one of the following trouble-shooting aides: thermography gun, digital VOM, volt, ohm, or amp meters.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair plant production equipment.
- Record labor and materials and report abnormal conditions and safety hazards.
- Responsible for installation and repair of lighting up to 480V, and repair of small fixtures, fans, and appliances while also assisting with repair of welders, wire feeds, plasma cutters, and motors over 110V.
- Responsible for installation of distribution equipment including gutters, disconnects, conduits, and cables following UL and National Electrical Code.
- Service and maintain cranes, lathes, drills, presses, press brakes, shears, robots, tube mills, high-frequency induction equipment, distribution equipment, CNC and NC equipment.
- Use troubleshooting aids, such as digital VOM to interpret necessary readings.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Climb and work at elevated heights of up to eighty feet.
- Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and National Electrical Code books for both AC & DC electrical systems.
- Must pass the written Electromechanical Technician II test with a minimum score of 77 and a level II hands-on test.
- Read hydraulic and pneumatic valves and prints.
High-ended Qualifications-
- Associate’s degree in Electromechanical Technology.
- Experience operating a forklift.
- Experience with low-voltage electrical/electronic troubleshooting.
- Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Previous hands-on welding experience in a professional environment.
