Work Experience

• Experience troubleshooting equipment controls, including: Encoders (timers/counters), position transducers, and material sensing devices

Duties/Responsibilities

• Able to work independently and/or with teams of varying disciplines
• Address any emergency calls while on the job site, particularly relating to production-sensitive items
• Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with floor operators to understand equipment-related malfunctions, failures, and general defects
• Must be able to comply with facility safety regulations, including wearing proper PPE, and following general required facility safety practices
• Perform product/line changeovers, setup, and test runs to ensure equipment performance is within established quality and productivity standards
• Perform routine scheduled preventive maintenance tasks and report
• Perform time-sensitive work, with a focus on work quality and reliability
• Report on parts inventory and submit requests as needed
• Troubleshoot machine/equipment/system issues, and be able to effectively communicate findings to the team leader or other direct supervisor
• Other duties as assigned

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Good ability to navigate and troubleshoot through the use of PCs and Human/Machine Interfaces
• Excellent mechanical troubleshooting and repair abilities for the following –
• Motors, couplings, and other driveline parts
• Gears, pulleys, tensioners
• Chain and belt-driven conveyors
• Vacuum and pneumatic systems
• Precision alignment and timing of mechanical devices

Work Environment

• Follows safety and maintenance protocols
• May work indoors and outdoors
• On-call shifts or irregular hours are possible
• Physically active, with lifting and repairs
• Works in buildings or industrial facilities
