Job Profile

The company is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic who will be responsible for proactively maintaining the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.

Proactively, utilize approved preventive maintenance procedures.

Education Level

• High School Diploma or GED

Work Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in Equipment Maintenance/Preventative Maintenance Procedures
• Experience in Industrial Manufacturing is a plus
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical systems, and electrical troubleshooting
• Experience with Power Tools

Duties/Responsibilities

• Assist in the control of machine downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance.
• Audit all parts of the production lines based on the assigned schedule.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment on the production lines for minimal downtime.
• Enter completed, detailed work order information into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer instructions, and engineering specifications.
• Responsible for determining changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
• Responsible for the removal of defective parts through the safe dismantling of devices. Utilizing hoists, lifts, forklifts, and hand and power tools, and examining the form and texture of parts.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Basic understanding of Safety procedures
• Critical decision-making ability.
• Flexibility and adaptability, and the ability to focus and pay attention to detail.
• Technical understanding, ability, and patience to deal with uncertainty.

Work Environment

• Lifting and carrying: 0-49 lbs.
• Pushing, pulling, twisting, climbing, stooping, kneeling
• Reaching, grasping, repetitive motions
• Sitting, standing, walking
