The company is recruiting a Production Supervisor to join its team.

Education Level

• Bachelor’s Degree (not required but preferred)

Work Experience

• Minimum 5 years of successful production supervision experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment

License/Certification

• Six Sigma Certification (preferred)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Cross-functional teamwork with HR for payroll processing, personnel or labor issues, and staffing. Cross-functional work with peers to inform on important issues at shift changeover.
• Ensures quality specifications are met and procedures are followed.
• Leads, assists, motivates, and evaluates shift employees in daily operations, problem resolution, and promotes a culture of continuous improvement.
• Manage shifts to attain production and scrap goals.
• Promotes and trains on consistent and proactive safety, including audits for compliance, incident reports, and investigations on “close calls”.
• Trains team in executing proper company procedures, focusing on safety, quality, and meeting production goals.
• Troubleshoots and resolves process, equipment, and material issues in conjunction with support personnel.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs. and sometimes more, and regularly stand/move about the facility.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with the willingness and ability to learn new systems; ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Team player with the ability to build lasting, productive business relationships with hourly employees, management, and peers.

Work Environment

• Exposed to noise, machinery, and fast-paced operations
• May work extended hours, including shifts and weekends
• Responsible for enforcing safety and quality standards
• Spends time both on the production floor and in the office
• Works in manufacturing or industrial environments
