Job Profile
The company is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic II who will repair and service pumps, compressors, seals, packing, and bearings to support the R&D Pilot Plant and laboratory facilities
Work with all types of hand tools to complete troubleshooting, repairs, preventative maintenance, or modifications to equipment.
Be expected to complete all work using safe work practices as defined by Honeywell.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
Work Experience
- Experience and skill working with hand tools
- Mechanical experience
- Welding experience
- Pipefitting experience
Duties/Responsibilities
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
- Collaborate with other maintenance team members to troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical problems
- Conduct preventive maintenance activities to prevent equipment failure and extend equipment lifespan
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on time to minimize downtime
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and inventory
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, lubrication, and adjustments, to ensure the proper functioning of equipment
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Able to follow all established safety procedures and protocols.
- Capable of working infrequently at our Riverside facility in McCook, IL.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Understanding and use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Working knowledge of rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, seals, packing, and bearings.
Work Environment
- Must be capable of lifting up to 35 pounds, work on elevated platforms as well as climb ladders and portable lifts.
