Job Profile
The company is hiring an HVAC Journeyman Fitter who will play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
Work closely with our team to ensure the efficient operation of HVAC systems and provide high-quality service to our customers.
Be accountable for installing and maintaining HVAC equipment, troubleshooting and diagnosing issues, and performing necessary repairs.
Education Level
- High School Diploma, or equivalent
Work Experience
- 2+ years of experience as a journeyman fitter servicing or installing HVAC systems, including ventilating, boilers, and burners
- Welding experience
- Previous HVAC industry experience
- Previous technical/installation experience
- Previous customer service experience
- BMS controls experience
License/Certification
- Oil Burner License
- OSHA 10 certification
- Refrigeration License
- Valid Driver’s License – will drive company vehicle
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving customer inquiries and issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and efficient service delivery
- Coordinate service requests and schedule appointments for field service technicians
- Escalate Issues
- Inspect for Quality
- Install or Repair per Work Order
- Maintain accurate records of service activities, including service reports and customer information
- Provide administrative support to the field service team as needed
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- A/C units, chillers, exhaust fan, etc.
- Must be a member of Local 716
- Good written and oral communication
- Ability to follow instructions
Work Environment
- Exposure to extreme temperatures, dust, noise, and confined spaces
- May work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, or emergency calls
- Physically demanding: lifting heavy equipment, bending, climbing, and standing for long periods
- Requires use of tools, machinery, and safety gear
- Works on construction sites, commercial buildings, or mechanical rooms
