Job Profile
The company is seeking a Maintenance Technician who will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and mechanical systems, including welders, overhead cranes, hoists, AC/DC motors, and other critical production equipment.
Monitor the tank’s chemistry, update safety and EHS compliance documentation, and support continuous plant operations.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or GED
Work Experience
- Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance and electrical experience in a manufacturing/fabrication environment.
- 1+ years of experience with overhead cranes, forklifts, and power tools in an industrial environment.
- Prior experience in EHS reporting or compliance-related activities.
License/Certification
- Certified (or ability to certify) in forklift, man-lift, and crane operations.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Adjust machinery and systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Install or repair equipment, including generators, transformers, motors, circuit breakers, conduit systems, controllers, and heating units.
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems (480V, 3-phase, AC/DC, control voltage), including welders and cranes.
- Locate and diagnose faults using blueprints, schematics, or testing instruments.
- Maintain overhead cranes, forklifts, hoists, and CNC equipment, including replacement of bearings, seals, and motors.
- Perform carpentry, welding, plumbing, and basic fabrication as required.
- Perform preventative, scheduled, and emergency maintenance across a range of equipment and systems.
- Use PLC logic for troubleshooting and repair.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume production settings.
- Basic computer skills (email, reporting, safety software).
- Familiarity with tank chemical management and galvanizing environments.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong background with 480V electrical systems, AC/DC motors, and PLC troubleshooting.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid State Electrical License.

Work Environment
- Comfortably working indoors and outdoors in extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, and damp conditions.
- Lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical activities such as climbing, bending, squatting, and standing for extended periods.
- Wear full PPE: hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, reflective vest, steel-toed boots with met guards, welding helmet, face shield, and fall protection as required.
- Work from ladders, manlifts, and scissor lifts at heights of 20–25 feet using fall protection.
Safety Compliances-

- Monitor and maintain tank chemistry for compliance and safe operation.
- Participate actively in department safety initiatives.
- Report safety concerns and assist in implementing corrective actions.
- Update EHS inspections and safety/compliance programs.
