Job Profile

The company is hiring a CNC Operator who will operate the CNC Machines safely and efficiently to aid in the fabrication process of Valmont products.

Education Level

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Work Experience

  • 1 year of previous experience operating a CNC drill
  • 1 year of previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
  • 1 year of previous experience operating hand or power tools in a professional environment

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist team members with other departmental tasks, cleaning, and general equipment maintenance
  • Inspect all parts produced to ensure quality standards
  • Maintain a clean and greased machine and perform daily TPM
  • Maintain a safe and productive working environment
  • Operate overhead crane, plate blaster, cutting torch, and forklift as needed
  • Operate the CNC burn table, drill press, and other cutting or burning equipment, and keep the department environment clean and safe
  • Wear required personal protective equipment and follow facility safety regulations
  • Work under the direction of the leader and report directly to the Shift Supervisor

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Must have a high awareness of safety at all times
  • The ability to accurately use and read a tape measure, thread gauges, a micrometer, a protractor, and dial calipers
  • The ability to perform basic math functions such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing
  • The ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
  • The ability to recognize and solve practical problems or issues
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • The ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Must be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results.

  • Attention to detail with repetitive tasks
  • Factory or machine shop setting
  • Moderate noise and machinery vibrations
  • Safety gear like goggles and gloves is required
  • Standing for long hours
