Job Profile
The company is hiring a CNC Operator who will operate the CNC Machines safely and efficiently to aid in the fabrication process of Valmont products.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Work Experience
- 1 year of previous experience operating a CNC drill
- 1 year of previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- 1 year of previous experience operating hand or power tools in a professional environment
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assist team members with other departmental tasks, cleaning, and general equipment maintenance
- Inspect all parts produced to ensure quality standards
- Maintain a clean and greased machine and perform daily TPM
- Maintain a safe and productive working environment
- Operate overhead crane, plate blaster, cutting torch, and forklift as needed
- Operate the CNC burn table, drill press, and other cutting or burning equipment, and keep the department environment clean and safe
- Wear required personal protective equipment and follow facility safety regulations
- Work under the direction of the leader and report directly to the Shift Supervisor
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Must have a high awareness of safety at all times
- The ability to accurately use and read a tape measure, thread gauges, a micrometer, a protractor, and dial calipers
- The ability to perform basic math functions such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing
- The ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
- The ability to recognize and solve practical problems or issues
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment
- The ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Must be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results.
Work Environment
- Attention to detail with repetitive tasks
- Factory or machine shop setting
- Moderate noise and machinery vibrations
- Safety gear like goggles and gloves is required
- Standing for long hours
