Job Profile
The company is recruiting a CNC Machinist who will set up and operation of CNC mills, lathes or gear-cutting machines as required.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or GED
- An equivalent combination of education and experience
Work Experience
- 1 to 3 years of related experience or training
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assists in maintaining and servicing equipment as directed.
- Checks parts periodically during operations to verify conformance to specifications using prescribed precision measuring devices.
- Follows program instructions, diagrams for setting fixtures, and outlines tooling and the sequence of operations for setup.
- Installs tooling on numerically controlled equipment to machine parts to exacting tolerances for Company products.
- Loads and unloads parts to and from machines, and maintains appropriate monitoring of operations to ensure proper machine functioning and complete parts.
- Makes needed adjustments to equipment and programs.
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
- Required to maintain accurate and timely transactions in the ERP system.
- Selects and loads appropriate part programs for machine runs.
- May train other employees and help in other departments as required.
- Responsible for, with authority to follow ISO procedures, initiating action to prevent problems, documenting quality problems, contributing to problem solutions, verifying implementation of solutions, controlling further processing when a problem is identified, protecting the environment, including preventing pollution, analyzing or identifying areas for correction or improvement.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Monitors machine performance, making adjustments as needed
- Performs quality control checks using measuring instruments
- Reads and interprets blueprints, CAD/CAM files
- Selects and installs appropriate tooling for each job
- Sets up and operates CNC machines for precise parts

- Must be able to travel as required or directed.
