Job Profile

The company is seeking an Aluminum Mig/Tig Welder to join its team.

Education Level

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Work Experience

  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment

License/Certification

  • Welding certification from an accredited Technical School (preferred)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Ability to adjust parameter settings for different material thickness.
  • Ability to learn the Robot welding setup and operations.
  • Assemble finished products from blueprints to the specifications indicated on the blueprints.
  • Comply with all of the ISO 9001 Quality standards, policies, and procedures of API.
  • Maintain tools and equipment provided for the assembly operations.
  • Maintain the work area in an organized manner.
  • Safely perform work.
  • Produce product within tolerance.
  • Weld Aluminum Pressure Vessels, Airtight, utilizing GMAW Pulse Spray and GTAW welding.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to provide examples of both GTAW and GMAW proficiency.
  • Mechanical aptitude and a functional knowledge of hand tools.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and measurements.

Work Environment

  • Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8-12 hours per shift).
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures (hot, cold, or humid conditions).
  • Adequate hearing (with or without aids) to respond to alarms and verbal instructions in a noisy environment.
  • Exposure to noise, dust, odors, and manufacturing chemicals.
  • Frequent use of hands and wrists for repetitive tasks (e.g., assembling, sorting, packaging).
  • Frequent walking throughout the production floor.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and the ability to handle small parts or tools.
  • Occasional use of ladders or steps to reach equipment or storage areas.
  • Occasionally lift heavier items (up to 75 pounds) with assistance or equipment
  • Regularly lift and carry up to 25-50 pounds.
  • Sufficient vision (with or without correction) to read labels, safety signs, and equipment gauges.
  • Use of manual or mechanical means to push/pull carts, equipment, or materials.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
