Job Profile

The company (Hitachi Rail) is hiring a CNC Operator who will perform a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic.

Education Level

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Work Experience

• Experience as a CNC/Machine Operator 2 years or more
• CNC programming experience

Duties/Responsibilities

• Inspect own work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with requirements, including HSE requirements, quality standards, and all work instructions.
• load tools, perform troubleshooting, and perform quality checks before completing the job
• Perform preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, and drawings
• Set up and operate conventional and CNC machine shop equipment.
• Support other departments as directed, including performing assembly work and painting as needed.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Able to follow standard procedures.
• Computer skills as well as Microsoft Office
• Proficient at reading blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
• Strong communication skills

Work Environment

• Handle sharp tools and metal parts
• Noisy and fast-paced environment
• Stand for long hours
• Wear safety gear
• Work in machine shops or factories
