Job Profile

The company is seeking a Production Supervisor who will supervise and manage the production performance, personnel issues, EHS standards, and coordinate the coordination of work of the employees who work in production and operations for a specified department.

Ensure productivity/Operations goals are met on a daily/weekly/quarterly/annual basis.

Responsible for the operations in a given production area, including but not limited to Chemical treatments, masking, Paint shop, maintenance, NDT, Shipping/Receiving during the 2nd Shift.

Ensures compliance with all quality, EHS, and customer regulations and specifications.

Education Level

• High School Diploma or GED, preferred requirement: 4-year degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field

Work Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience as a manager or supervisory position in a manufacturing facility

Duties/Responsibilities

• Conduct employee training in equipment operations or work and safety procedures, or assign employee training to experienced workers.
• Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
• Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of production line employees, promoting a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and innovation
• Oversee all Operations and facility management activities, including production startups/shutdowns, Shift Scheduling, shipments, and enforce EHS activities, Quality control/Assurance as per company policies and procedures
• Partner with management or subordinates to improve Employee engagement and Operations efficiency and throughput.
• Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals. Generate and communicate shift reports to senior management effectively.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to inspire and lead employees and get results through others in a positive and progressive manner
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to read and interpret documents written in English, such as procedure manuals, work instructions, blueprints, work orders, and Schedules.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Experienced with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Good understanding of industry safety standards and regulations.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• The ability to write legible notes and communicate with coworkers and superiors in English. Spanish would be a plus.
• Written and oral communication skills
