Job Profile

The company is hiring a Combo Welder who will lay out, align, and weld fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames, tanks, pressure vessels, furnace shells, buildings, and pipe, according to blueprints and metallurgy.

Education Level

  • High School Diploma (credible)

Work Experience

  • Minimum 4 years of industrial construction/maintenance industry experience

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Install, modify, and make repairs to pipes, boilers, towers, exchangers, furnaces, and drums
  • Set up equipment and weld either pipe, plate, or structural steel using arc, gas-shielded arc, or gas welding equipment
  • Work from blueprints, sketches, and specifications
  • Product quality works with reasonable efficiency
  • Perform simple piping installations and repairs
  • Assist other mechanics
  • Additional responsibilities not listed may be required

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Blueprint and schematic interpretation
  • Knowledge of welding safety protocols
  • Metal fabrication and assembly
  • Proficient in MIG, TIG, and stick welding
  • Strong attention to detail and precision

Work Environment

  • Exposure to heat, sparks, and fumes
  • May work in confined or elevated spaces
  • Often in industrial or construction sites
  • Physically demanding with long hours
  • Requires protective gear and safety measures
