The company is recruiting an Ironworker who will be responsible for selecting equipment, determining the layout, assembling, welding, and installing components.

Education Level

• High School Diploma (credible)

Work Experience

• Minimum 4 years of industrial construction/maintenance industry experience

Duties/Responsibilities

• Connect columns, beams, and girders with bolts, following blueprints and instructions from supervisors
• Cut, bend, and weld iron/steel pieces, using metal shears, torches, and welding equipment
• Hoist equipment and tools into the location via rigging or crane
• Lay out the position, align, and fit components together for installation
• Set up equipment and weld parts, using arc, submerged arc, or gas welding equipment
• Verify vertical and horizontal alignment of structural-steel members, using plumb bobs, laser equipment, transits, or levels
• Additional responsibilities not listed may be required

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Knowledge of safety rules and regulations
• Knowledge and understanding of MSDS sheets with management/supervision

Work Environment

• Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, and repetitive motions.
