Job Profile

The company is searching for a Weld Repair who will repair parts/components that are non-conforming to customer specifications by welding, grinding, or other methods as required.

Education Level

• High School Graduate or equivalent

Work Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant work experience

License/Certification

• Certified in MIG or TIG welding

Duties/Responsibilities

• Calibrate welding equipment
• Conduct housekeeping for personal work area or shared facility space
• Maintain tools in good working order
• Maintain welding equipment
• Move parts to the correct location in the plant/facility
• Operate a spot-welding machine to join or repair sheet metal/steel parts or components
• Participate in preventative actions where appropriate
• Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures
• Tag parts
• Utilization of plexus (ERP system)

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Able to be self-motivated and prioritize tasks as assigned
• Moves within own or other work areas (flexes) to support plant flow. Works with a sense of urgency to meet the needs of customers.
• Takes positive action to objectively resolve conflict by listening, staying focused on the issue to find a resolution, and monitoring progress. Maintains positive relationships by constructively resolving conflicts.
• Updates and relays pertinent information to the shift supervisor and the oncoming shift
• Uses feedback from others to continuously improve performance and work relationships.

• Exposure to fumes and sparks
• Hot and noisy environment
• May involve overtime or shifts
• Often in confined spaces
• Requires protective gear
