Job Profile

The company is looking for a Maintenance Technician who will install, maintain, and repair industrial equipment and facility infrastructure by performing the following duties.

Education Level

Work Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of industrial experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, water, PLC, welding, or analytical troubleshooting (required)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Able to communicate with various levels of personnel (Maintenance leadership, production leadership, and equipment operators).
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
  • Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
  • Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures, and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
  • Dismantles and reassembles machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
  • Ensures equipment operation by completing preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatics, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications; and troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
  • Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment, as directed.
  • Locates sources of problems by observation, using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications, and establishing personal networks.
  • Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
  • Plans layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.
  • Possesses knowledge of robotic machinery.
  • Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Replaces electric motor bearings and rewires motors.
  • Replaces faulty electrical components of the machine, such as relays, switches, motors, position sensing devices, and printed circuit boards.
  • Rig equipment for installation or relocation, as directed.
  • Troubleshot 480Vac power systems and 120Vac electrical controls.
  • Uses calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments for determining dimensional data of components.
  • Uses electrical meters to identify voltage, current, capacitance, resistance, etc. of various types of electrical circuits.
