Job Profile

The company is hiring a CNC Mill Operator who will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC milling machines to machine details for aerospace tubes, ducts, and other components.

Education Level

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Work Experience

• CNC machining experience, Aerospace experience (a plus)
• Experience with precision measuring tools

Duties/Responsibilities

• Inspect and measure finished products using calipers, height gages, and micrometers.
• Perform offset adjustments.
• Perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, and milling.
• Prepare a test run.
• Prepare and load raw material and parts.
• Set machines to complete full cycles.
• Set up and operate CNC milling machines to machine aerospace tubes, ducts, and details.
• Supervise machines while cycling, making any necessary adjustments.
• Translating instructions into computer commands for the machines to perform the correct function.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and operation sheets.
• Basic math skills.
• Familiarity with 3, 4-axis, or similar CNC multi-axis machines.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Work Environment

• Exposure to noise, metal shavings, and coolants
• Follows safety and precision standards
• Operates CNC milling machines and tools
• Stands for long periods during shifts
• Works in machine shops or manufacturing plants
