Job Profile
The company is seeking a Spot Welder who will clean, assemble and spot weld products to print, work orders, and product specifications.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants should have a High School Diploma or Equivalent
Work Experience
- Previous brazing or welding experience (preferred)
- Experience reading blueprint (preferred)
- Manufacturing Experience (preferred)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Cleans and maintains tools and machines, using equipment and hand tools.
- Ensures safe operation of spot-welding machines that spot weld fabricated products or components.
- Examines and tests welded products or components, using testing devices.
- Fully engages with the team and other associates to troubleshoot problems and drive continuous improvement in the work area.
- Reads and records operational information on specified production reports.
- Removes workpieces and parts from machinery, using hand tools.
- Use fixtures and gages to weld parts to drawing specifications.
- Visually inspects units for unsatisfactory welds (gaps, alignment, dents, etc.)
- Works safely and ensures the best quality products within acceptable efficiency levels.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to identify differences and inconsistencies in parts or operations (required)
- Has basic math skills including but not limited to decimals, fractions, and use of a calculator (required)
- Must have a good attendance record
