Job Profile

The company is looking for a Welder who will be able to read and understand fabrication layout drawings, set up and operate different types of welders like MIG and ARC, and weld components comprised of steel or possibly aluminum.

Weld and fabricate materials using various kinds of equipment.

Complete component fabrication by cutting with a plasma cutter or torch and fitting the joints to ensure product quality.

Expected to be able to manage the welding shop which will include following all safety policies and shop guidelines.

Educational Qualification

• Applicants may be required a High School Diploma
• Must be 18 years of age

Work Experience

• Possess 1-year of relevant work experience (preferred)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Fabricate and Weld carts and other shipping containers.
• Fabricate and Weld equipment skids and other items needed on the job sites
• Lead and help train less experienced welders
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA Standards, and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedure
• Manage materials and tools needed in the welding shop
• Work with an open mind and be willing to think outside the box to improve safety and efficiency

Tools

• The company will provide all standard welding and safety equipment needed to perform your task as the welding lead. This includes but is not limited to, a MIG welder, cutting torch, grinders, slag hammers, welding hood, welding jacket, gloves, clamps, and brushes.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Required to join the IBEW Union Local 683
• Must be able to lift at least 75 lbs. throughout the day
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
