Job Profile
The company is searching for a Welder Repair Tech who will repair, service, and maintain welders and other related equipment, including assembly, testing and calibration, and maintaining general appearance.
Also, inspect returned rental equipment, complete paperwork, and order parts as required. While experience is ideal, training is available and Airgas will assist with Lincoln and Miller certifications.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED
- 1-year Technical College or equivalent (preferred)
Work Experience
- Possess at least 3 years of related technical experience
Duties/Responsibilities
- Order parts as required in order to complete repairs. Prepare and complete paperwork for all mechanical repairs.
- Perform field work as needed; occasionally required to service equipment and customers offsite.
- Repair and refurbish all electric and engine drive equipment, and assemble electric, diesel, gas, and propane equipment for rental.
- Test and calibrate machines to ensure they are functional for rent or sale. Repaint parts, put on decals, and maintain general equipment appearance.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Must be able to work in a drug-free environment
- SAP or similar software experience preferred; Intermediate computer skills recommended.
- Working knowledge of welding and mechanical equipment is preferred.
