The company is recruiting a Maintenance Supervisor to join its team.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants should have a Post-secondary education in a related field or a mechanic’s license
Work Experience
- 3 years plus Maintenance supervisory experience in a fast-paced customer-oriented service support environment OR
- 3 years plus Maintenance supervisory experience in a Steel Mill, quarry, mining, rolling stock, major construction or material processing environment OR
- 3 years plus Maintenance supervisory experience of Heavy Mobile Equipment, Static Processing Plant, Locomotive or Gantry Cranes OR
- Sound mechanical knowledge of the following types of equipment Medium and Large Wheel Loaders, Scraper Tractors, Diesel Locomotive, Gantry Crane, and Material Processing plants would be beneficial
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assisting maintenance workers and sub-contractors in performing diagnosis and troubleshooting.
- Ensure the correct tools and resources are available for the Maintenance team.
- Ensuring that all maintenance is performed in a safe and technically correct manner.
- Maintaining a mixed fleet of equipment capable to serve the customers changing needs
- Management of short and long-term maintenance planning, and completion of planned activities efficiently within budget.
- Provide guidance and training to members of the maintenance crew
- Provide leadership and direction to the internal maintenance team, external vendors, and suppliers to ensure that work is completed efficiently and in line with the Mill’s schedules.
- Providing technical guidance for both corrective and preventative maintenance activities.
- Significant technical input and creation of scope of work for major repairs.
