Job Profile

The company is looking to hire a Manufacturing Engineer who will be responsible for developing and improving manufacturing equipment and processes for new and existing heat transfer products.

Process improvement projects will be varied to include general production, aluminum welding processes, part fabrication, coatings, and quality improvement.

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering from a college or university

Work Experience

  • Possess at least 5 years of engineering experience in a plant environment (preferred)
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Kanban, and 5S (preferred)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Confer with Management, Design Engineering, and Production departments to determine project specifications and procedures (e.g. welding manufacturing equipment and processes)
  • Create manufacturing instructions for new products
  • Identify and qualify suppliers to meet prepared project and equipment specifications
  • Investigate issues and develop and implement solutions for problems arising during the manufacture of new and existing products
  • Make recommendations to implement improved processes
  • Manage internal and supplier equipment qualification plans and oversee testing/validation of new equipment
  • Manage manufacturing projects from initial development to final manufacturing qualification
  • Perform calculations to verify equipment and process capability to support production volumes
  • Perform mechanical design and develop specifications for new and existing equipment and processes for manufacturing heat transfer products
  • Prepare cost estimates and project plans for new equipment and processes
  • Provide feedback to management concerning possible problems or areas of improvement
  • All other duties as assigned

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Knowledge of vacuum brazing, CNC operations, or welding (preferred)
