Job Profile

The company is seeking a Spot Welder who will operate a spot-welding machine welding various size parts to larger finished pieces.

Educational Qualification

• Applicants should have a High School Diploma or Equivalent

Work Experience

• Possess prior experience/knowledge in spot welding or general welding

Duties/Responsibilities

• Accesses and utilizes various documents, with the use of computers, associated with the manufacture of products in assembly for completion of confirmations (e.g. Quality and Safety Documents, Operating Instructions, etc.)
• Cleans and maintains equipment and work area to ensure the functioning and safe working conditions and wears appropriate PPE.
• Completes confirmation documentation via SAP data management system or DMM.
• Read blueprints and spot weld steel.
• Required to operate spot welder machine.
• Work may be verified for correctness.
• Works directly with or under the direction of a Group Lead and/or Supervisor.
• Works in a team.
• Works with ISO/work standards.
• Performs other work per Supervisor’s direction.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to read blueprints and apply basic shop math, digital literacy, and use of basic mechanical/measuring tools
• Reach, grasp, lift 50 lbs., and push/pull/slide heavy material and make coordinated movements of the hands and arms to grasp and move objects.
• Speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language
• Stoop, bend, squat, crawl, and climb
• Work standing for the duration of the shift
