Job Profile
The company is seeking a Machine Operator who will assist in the setup, maintenance, and operation of various machinery. The machinery includes but is not limited to lathes, mills, saws, and grinders.
The individual will help form metal parts and structural shapes according to blueprints and specifications.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants should have a High School Diploma
- Vocation Certification or similar education (preferred)
Work Experience
- Possess previous experience in plant operations or other related fields (preferred)
- Familiarity with plant tools and equipment
Duties/Responsibilities
- Check parts produced against prints/drawings that will be provided to you
- Control and adjust the settings of the machine used for drilling, tapping, and counter-sinking plate
- Load and unload materials with forklifts
- Load programs via PLCs and CNCs
- Log and record readings for equipment and procedures
- Perform Tooling setups specific to each individual job ran through the shop
- Provide innovative solutions to improve plant efficiency
- Stage-produced parts safely, effectively, and efficiently
- Perform assigned preventative and predictive maintenance on machinery
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to interpret shop drawings and specifications
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Clean and maintain the work area
- Communicate with operators from other shifts
Other Qualifications
- General knowledge of the construction industry and processes
- General knowledge of structural steel and miscellaneous metals
- Must be able to successfully complete all post-offer and pre-employment contingencies
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
