Job Profile

The company is hiring a Multi-Craft Technician who will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing process by troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repair of all tire-related manufacturing, processing machinery, and equipment.

Also, be responsible for related safety and housekeeping obligations throughout the facility.

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Work Experience

  • Possess work-related experience (a plus)

Basic Qualifications

  • Ability to work any or rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, or overtime if applicable
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must be able to successfully complete all post-offer, pre-employment contingencies
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now or in the future
  • Must provide basic tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience adhering to industry-specific safety standards
  • Journeyman’s Card preferred or AAS in Industrial Maintenance
  • Previous experience Industrial Maintenance experience with basic knowledge and understanding of machine technology, construction, operation of heavy industrial machinery and power/control devices, PLCs, variable frequency drives, servo drives, power distribution, instrumentation, preventative maintenance, human-machine interfaces, hydraulics and pneumatics

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Abide by safe work standards including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Fall Protection, Confined Spaces, and appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), NFPA 70E (Arc flash)
  • Adhere to Goodyear’s attendance policy
  • Cut, form, thread, fit and install piping for air, water, steam, oil nitrogen, gas, and other lines
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machines and drive power distribution systems, instrumentation, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems
  • Interpret blueprints, sketches, maintenance manuals, and manufacturing specifications
  • Log or use a computerized work order system for repair and maintenance activities performed
  • Perform a variety of manual tasks in varying temperatures for extended periods of time, which may include lifting light to heavy materials, climbing, standing, squatting, bending, and working at heights when applicable
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on a diverse range of equipment to ensure optimum operating conditions and uptime across all related crafts
  • Perform PLC maintenance issues
  • Prepare and weld in flat, vertical, or overhead positions with multiple technologies
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, and other mechanical issues
  • Use gas torches or other equipment to cut structural stock for fabrication
