Job Profile
The company is looking for a Maintenance Technician who will support manufacturing operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing all facilities and manufacturing equipment in a safe and orderly fashion as directed by the maintenance supervisor.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants should have a High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent
- Associate’s Degree/Journeyperson status in Maintenance Electrician
Work Experience
- Possess 5 years of Industrial Maintenance experience
- Technical training in the following areas-
-Hydraulic/pneumatic system maintenance and repair
-Automotive, forklift, work platforms operation
-Combustion gas train maintenance and repair
-HVAC maintenance and repair
-Industrial Electronics
-Machine tool operation, maintenance, and repair
-Mechanical power transmission maintenance and repair
-Robot and PLC programming and troubleshooting
-Robotics diagnostics and repair, motion and control
–Welding and fabrication
- Forklift License required
Duties/Responsibilities
- Adhere to customer requirements, Business Operating Systems, and company policies
- Attain safety, quality, and productivity goals
- Attend training as required
- Complete all work in accordance with IOSHA, NEC, JIC, and IDNR standards and regulations
- Complete assigned work orders, daily downtime logs, required forms, and shift communication boards
- Complete correspondence, forms, and reports using a personal computer and the required software
- Encourage safety and housekeeping practices and lead by example
- Handle confidential information on a regular basis
- Install new or move existing equipment throughout the plant. Use equipment books, schematics, and blueprints for setting up and tearing down
- Maintain and update equipment records, schematics, blueprints, and files in an orderly fashion
- Maintain department repair parts stock and inventory
- Obtain training for professional development and stay current on maintenance and safety requirements
- Participate in Continual Improvement activities
- Participate in shift hand down meetings and communicate with oncoming shifts
- Promote and facilitate the Open Door process, effective communication, and Fair Treatment
- Troubleshoot and repair facility equipment including HVAC, compressors, electrical, lighting, plumbing, and building (ceiling, walls, floors)
- Troubleshoot and repair production equipment problems including powered presses, welding machines, conveyors, vision systems, camera systems, robots (material handlers and welders), HMI’s
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Able to demonstrate an understanding of how job performance affects product quality and customer satisfaction
- Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, employees, suppliers, and customers
- Able to lift 75 pounds
- Able to maintain confidentiality, and use discretion and tact
- Able to manage and schedule multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Able to prepare, read and interpret written reports, instructions, procedures, and guidelines
- Able to use computer and software as required
- Able to work at heights of 40 to 60 feet and in confined spaces
- Able to work flexible hours and overtime to be available for three (3) shifts
- Able to work on blueprints and sketches
- Able to work well with others; build and maintain positive employee relations
- Must have a good color vision to perform electronic and electrical maintenance and repairs
