Job Profile

The company is looking to hire a Production Area Leader who will oversee production operations and supports Management, Team Leaders, and Production Associates by acting as a liaison in matters regarding policy application, employee relations, safety, and continuous improvement for processes and productivity.

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants should have a minimum 2-year College Degree in Production/Operations Management or a related field OR Vocational Certification in Manufacturing, Production, or a related field

Work Experience

  • Possess a minimum of 5 years of manufacturing/operations experience with 2 years of minimum in a leadership role.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing principles (standardized work), 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and A3 problem-solving.
  • Fanuc Robot experiences (a plus)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Communicate with other departments to achieve department goals
  • Coordinates preventative maintenance tasks on machinery
  • Ensures employees are trained in TWI and follow all job instructions
  • Manage Team Leaders, Production Operators, and the utilization of equipment
  • Uses lean manufacturing principles to oversee robotically welded assembly production processes

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to work flexible hours in a fast-paced environment in order to meet customer requirements.
  • Familiar with welded sheet metal assemblies
  • May be exposed to elements such as temperature and noise during time spent in the plant or at customer or supplier facilities
  • Strong communication skills and ability to be a hands-on leader
  • Strong math and computer skills

  • Salaried position plus 1.5 times overtime after 45 hrs.
  • 3 weeks of paid vacation
