Job Profile

The company is searching for a ME Tech II who will support the CNC and HT processes in the facility, troubleshoot, and assist in problem isolation and solution.

Provide backup weld/robotic welding and forming support as required.

Educational Qualification

  • No education level is mentioned, yet applicants may be required a High School Diploma

Work Experience

  • Possess 5 to 7 years of experience in a manufacturing facility
  • AutoCAD experience (a plus)
  • Welding Experience (a plus)

Other Qualifications

  • Ability to interpret prints sketches, verbal instructions, and mathematical data to identify tooling, gauging, and fixturing
  • Evaluate tooling and fixturing to determine the optimum method of repair or improvement.
  • Formal training in robotics systems, CNC controls, machining, and SPC
  • FANUC Robotics background (preferred)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Apply concepts and details of gauging, fixtures, and tooling to assist in problem-solving.
  • Help in maintaining and controlling part programs for all machining areas.
  • Identify areas in which tooling, cleanliness, operation sequences, or forming consistency can be improved in order to increase throughput or product quality.
  • Provide support to production associates as they assume greater responsibility in manufacturing functions
  • When necessary, help to evaluate existing tooling and fixturing to determine the optimum method of repair or improvement.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Excellent mechanical aptitude
  • Shift flexibility (a must)
  • PLC programming knowledge

Physical Demands

  • Constant standing, walking, reaching, balancing, cervical spine motion, lower extremities, and simple grasp
  • Frequent use of firm grasping, fine manipulation, and pitching
  • Lifting and carrying up to 50lbs including machine parts, parts boxes, equipment, and tool bag.
  • Occasional forward bending, squatting, kneeling, and climbing

Environmental Conditions

  • Adequate Lighting
  • Non-Temperature Controlled. Humidity, Heat, and Cold are factors during the year
  • Adequate Ventilation. There is welding smoke from the process that is visible in the air
  • Manufacturing Work Environment
