Job Profile

The company is seeking an Assembler to join its production team.

Educational Qualification

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

Work Experience

• 2 years of experience in a production environment (preferred)
• Personal Protection Equipment Training (PPE), Global Harmonization System Training (GHS), Lock Out- Tag Out Training, (LOTO) – Onsite training available
• Tow Motor and Overhead Crane Certification – Onsite training available

Duties/Responsibilities

• Assist crane operator if needed
• Complete assemblies within goal hours
• Keep the workstation clean and organized
• Operate shear and power saws safely
• Reference standards manuals, drawings, lists, and charts for accuracy
• Work safely and report any unsafe conditions

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to read and understand drawings, blueprints, assembly prints, packing lists, shop orders, and other written correspondence
• Ability to read assembly drawings and make basic mechanical modifications when needed
• Ability to recognize the quality expected and able to reproduce it
• Able to use a tape measure, calipers, micrometers, etc.
• Close attention to detail
• Excellent hand-eye coordination with good eyesight, depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to differentiate between colors
• Hold measurements to a specific tolerance
• Knowledge of power and hand tools
• Must have good knowledge of fractions and decimals

Work Environment

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work safely and effectively in a production environment
• Prolonged periods of standing
• Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward frequently
