The company (Autosystems America) is seeking an Automation Technician to join its team.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants should have completed Secondary School
Work Experience
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience
- Minimum 2 years of robotic automation experience
- Electrical controls experience
- Fanuc Robot Programming
- Mechanical Experience (preferred)
- Troubleshooting/Programming PLC and HMI’s
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assist Engineering Group to modify baseline programs if necessary.
- Assist Engineering Group with trials and improvement opportunities.
- Complete understanding of all change-over activity within assigned cells including tooling, welders, adhesives, etc.
- Ensure all processes are running to baseline and that any changes are properly evaluated and documented with the appropriate change form.
- Exploring and implementing new ways to automate assembly operations.
- Help to create and establish baselines for new and existing equipment.
- Help with purchasing spare parts for assembly equipment.
- Interact with the Quality Group, as necessary, to understand the acceptable level of part quality.
- Planning projects to help optimize all assembly equipment.
- Support Continuous Improvement by suggesting longer-term processing solutions that will reduce costs by way of improved scrap rates and optimized efficiency.
- Troubleshooting and programming of all automation equipment.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to communicate technically with various departments
- Ability to learn and comprehend computer language
- Ability to learn the fundamentals of process control and understand the importance of consistent application
- Aptitude for mechanical and electrical equipment
- Logic and HMI software programming
- Proficient in basic computer programs
- Proven track record of performance and attendance in current role
- Self-motivated, ability to take initiative and follow through to job completion
- Strength and ability to troubleshoot and solve problems
- Strong knowledge of industrial processes and machinery
- Work flexible hours
