Job Profile

The company is looking to hire a Boiler Operator who will operate and maintain steam boilers or hot water generators and associated equipment, including compressors, cooling towers, pumps, and fans.

Also, perform all other work related to their trade as may be directed by the supervisor.

Educational Qualification

• Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED (required)

Work Experience

• Possess 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing, technical, military, or related environment (required)
• 2+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing, technical, military, or related environment (required)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Maintains maximum boiler efficiency by adjusting, reading, and interpreting gauges, indicators, and steam flow meters.
• Maintains proper level of water in boilers
• Maintains various records and reports relative to steam plant operations.
• Makes regular checks of steam plant equipment, adjusts, repairs, and services equipment as required.
• Observes boiler plant operations through the use of electronic or pneumatic controls, pressure gauges, and safety devices.
• Operates and adjusts high-pressure gas-fired boilers in the steam-generating plant.
• Operates steam plant as situation warrants on natural gas.
• Operates valves controlling the operation of feed pumps and boiler blowdowns
• Supervises or performs the chemical testing and treatment of boiler feed water.
• Performs other related work as required

• Ability to work with minimal supervision
