Job Profile
The company is searching for a CNC Lathe/Mill Turn Operator who will primarily be responsible for troubleshooting/breaking in new products and programs.
Setting up checking for tool/fixture clearance.
Reviewing new programs, avoiding machine crashes, proper touch-offs, and catching mistakes.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Work Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area
- Experience with mill/turns (a plus)
- Experience with tolerances of +/- .001
Duties/Responsibilities
- Follow 6S guidelines in the work area.
- May lead and direct the work of others and is a qualified trainer (on skills matrix).
- Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
- Reads and interprets blueprints and programs.
- Sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to perform within tight tolerances and work within already established parameters.
- Familiar with a variety of Aerospace concepts, practices, and procedures
- Team Player and good attitude
- The use and understanding of a variety of gauges, including but not limited to. Bore gages, Johnson gages, Pitch Mics, and an indicator for setting and establishing work offsets.
