Job Profile
The company is searching for a CNC Machinist who will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision parts for aerospace applications.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Work Experience
- 3+ years of experience with setting up and operating CNC equipment
- Instead of 3 years of set-up and operation experience, an associate’s machining technology degree is acceptable.
- Experience in aerospace manufacturing
License/Certification
- Technical Certification or Associate Degree in machining or a related field
Duties/Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize manufacturing processes
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency
- Set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts according to engineering specifications
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the machining process
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Computer skills that demonstrate the ability to use CNC interfaces to read, run, and edit computer-based machine job programs
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software
- Strong knowledge of machining processes and tools
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Work Environment
- Exposure to loud noise, metal shavings, coolants, and lubricants
- May work shifts, including nights, weekends, or overtime
- Operates heavy machinery with strict safety procedures
- Stands for long periods and performs repetitive tasks
- Works in machine shops, manufacturing plants, or production facilities
